Titian to Send-Off 89 Scholarship Beneficiaries Graduating Secondary School

Each year Titian Foundation holds an event to send-off its graduates. For 2016, it is the turn of Generation 6 to step out of high school life and immerse themselves in employment or pursue tertiary education. The event was held on June 5th, 2016 between 9am and 1 pm in the multipurpose hall at SMKN 1 ROTA Bayat. It was attended by all active scholarship beneficiaries, alumni and donors. The aim of having this event is to honor the graduates. Titian is very proud that 100% of the scholarship beneficiaries completed their secondary school with satisfactorily results and want to share this achievement through the celebration.

The celebration was filled with dance and songs. The highlight of the festivities was when Mr. Jayden Vantarakis and Ms. Victoria Maclellan – representing donors – released two pigeons into the air. Releasing these two pigeons symbolized another milestone that these beneficiaries has accomplished and from this day forward will be the time they would march on to explore other endeavors. For three years they went through the rollercoaster – now, armed with the mentoring given by Titian, they are ready to embark on new journey to achieve their aspirations.

Right after the send-off, donors were ushered to Titian’s CLC to meet up with the scholarship alumni. The alumni shared experiences about the development of their tertiary studies and the jobs they do. In this meet and greet session with the alumni, donors expressed their sense of pride both to those who are taking tertiary studies and those who have successfully got a good job. (WA)
