The new chapter of Titian’s story begins. At the beginning of the year 2024, various activities have started at Titian’s new Community Learning Centre (CLC) in Pemenang, Lombok. This marks the beginning of Titian’s journey in the Sumur Mual Village.
Hope is on the rise for the younger generation in North Lombok within the building process and completion of Titian Pemenang Community Learning Centre (CLC), fueled by generous support from the Van Empel Goldman Foundation and Mrs. Roosniati Salihin.
What makes this CLC truly unique and special is the combination of space utilization and aesthetics in its design, meticulously crafted by Dini Kurnia Agustina Candra Dewi, a Titian alumni who received a scholarship over ten years ago in Bayat, Klaten. She pursued her architecture education at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
“We had faced some challenges throughout the construction process of this CLC, especially with the use of the design and build system. However, it’s exciting because I also gained new insights throughout the process,” Dini explained. “I feel honored to be part of a team with such a noble goal, and I am happy to contribute to Titian.”
At the culmination of this process, it becomes evident that the CLC is not just a physical structure; it has become a symbol of personal development and scrutiny in recognizing opportunities. Initially planned for only one floor, Titian saw the opportunity to expand it to three floors over time, maximizing space utilization and land use.
Inspired by the beauty of Lombok’s culture, the building in which you are reading this text, seamlessly blends modern architecture with traditional elements, creating warm spaces that resonate with the local culture. In the end, CLC Titian Pemenang is more than just a building; it is a home for learners around North Lombok who aspire to grow and carefully consider various opportunities to achieve success in the future. “Hopefully, this (Titian Pemenang CLC) becomes a home for real winners*—individuals who overcome ego and limitations in their lives, winners in pursuing their dreams,” Dini shared her hope.
*’Pemenang’ means ‘winner’ in Bahasa Indonesia.
